We had our first Rave Private Detective meeting today. We discussed on the topics of surveillance and reporting and writing. When you are working surveillance, you must follow the state law exactly. Do not do anything illegal to gather personal information on someone. When you receive/gather information, bring it and discuss it with your team to determine what is legally right and what is wrong. Make the surveillance report as precise as you can that will be not be dismissed for further references. Do not discuss personal information with anyone else outside of the workplace because that is illegal. When reporting and writing you must be a 3rd party and listen carefully to what both party say. Write important and specific notes. Afterwards write down what you got from the report without being bias. Do not discuss a third party what information or evidence you have obtained through the investigation, and do not give any legal advice to the client. This could lead to problems in court in the future.
